Captain – BN2B Islander
Loganair operates a comprehensive network of scheduled and charter flights around the United Kingdom, but predominately in Scotland. The company continues to grow and develop and it now has around 650 members of staff, in various departments, including, Engineering, Flight Operations, Ground and Customer Services, Safety and Compliance, Commercial, Finance and Operations. We have stations throughout the United Kingdom, including: Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, Aberdeen, Norwich, Kirkwall, Sumburgh, Wick, Stornoway, Sumburgh, Campbeltown, Barra, Benbecula, Tiree and Islay.
Applications are invited for a full time BN2B Islander pilot based in Kirkwall. The position is permanent. The technical requirements for the Captain role are as noted below:
1. A minimum of 1500 total flying hours of which 100 hours flight time should be
under IFR;
i. 200 hours should be on multi-engine aircraft, and
ii. 1000 hours should ideally be as PIC.
2. 50 hours flight time on the appropriate class of aeroplane under IFR of which; 10 hours shall be as PIC.
3. 15 hours flight time at night.
An attractive remuneration package is on offer to the successful candidate. It is highly desirable that applicants have significant experience of operating the aircraft type. However, where an applicant has significant rounded experience of operating as a Captain, operating as a single pilot, then type training will be given.
It is a requirement of the role that the successful candidate relocates to the Kirkwall area, to avoid regular commuting.
