Non Type-Rated First Officer

Role Summary:

As a West Atlantic Pilot, you will be responsible for assisting with the operation of our company fleet.  You will work alongside colleagues to ensure the company fulfils its customers’ requirements. You will take responsibility for ensuring safe operations and ensuring compliance with company procedures and standards.

Specific Responsibilities:

Ensure the safety of company aircraft, cargo and occupants.

Follow all specified instructions, SOPs and procedures in the operations manuals.

Maintain familiarity with relevant United Kingdom, European and International air legislation and agreed aviation practices and procedures.

Maintain familiarity with Company Procedures and Manuals.

Report issues affecting airworthiness or the safety of the operation.

Operate in accordance with the company’s rostered plan, complying with Flight Time Limitations.

Essential Academic/Qualification Requirements:

The right to work in the UK

UK CAA CPL or ATPL

Have previously completed a Multi-Pilot Type Rating, with the rating on a UK CAA Licence or alternatively:

Hold an Advanced UPRT Course Completion Certificate
Hold an MCC Course Completion Certificate
Hold or have held a multi-engine IR(A) (ME-IR) on a UK CAA Licence
Hold a certificate evidencing completion of the ATPL(A) theoretical knowledge examinations
Current UK CAA Class 1 Medical

Able to swim 25 metres unaided

Minimum ICAO Level 5 English

Hold a valid UK Passport

Hold a UK recognised Driving Licence

Required Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 70 hours of flight experience as PIC in aeroplanes

If called upon, be prepared to evacuate an aircraft using escape ropes

Prepared to be within 90 minutes of their home base for all duties

Excellent communication skills

A customer focused attitude

Self-discipline with a desire for continuous self-development

Desirable Skills & Experience:

Evidence of a proven ability to work under pressure

Adept problem solving and planning abilities

Evidence of robust time management skills

Terms:

Salary – First Officer: £34,721 upwards (subject to fleet, training and hours) + per diems

Millage or sector pay – fleet dependant

Annual Leave – 28 days

Loss of Licence Insurance

Type Rating costs will be borne by the Company, the crewmember will sign a 24-month credit agreement. If the crewmember fails to pass the type rating, the crewmember will be liable to repay all training costs incurred.  If the crewmember leaves within 24 months, they will be liable to repay the remainder of the credit agreement calculated on a pro-rata basis.

Fleet – successful candidates may be offered positions on either the ATR or B737 fleet subject to company need.

*Rank of SFO is not a function of the manual suite. For the avoidance of doubt, it is attained by the earlier of:-

2 years’ service post final line check (on any fleet).
500 hours multi crew time.
An unfrozen ATPL.
