First Officer - PC-24 Super Versatile Jet
Swedish Ambulance Flight is looking for a pilot
We are looking for you with an interest in work with significance for society and your fellow human beings. You will fly our specially equipped Pilatus PC-24 ambulance aircraft and work in a team with our specialist trained flight nurses. The work is varied where no two days are the same.
The Municipal Association of Swedish Ambulance Aviation performs and coordinates ambulance air missions for all of Sweden’s 21 regions. Svenskt Ambulansflyg owns six EMS-equipped PC-24 aircraft manufactured by Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. Emergency bases are at the airports in Umeå̊, Stockholm/Arlanda and Gothenburg/Landvetter. Orders are received and assignments are coordinated at the coordination center in Umeå, where the office is also located. The operation maintains readiness around the clock, every day of the year, to start an ambulance flight mission at short notice. The area of operation includes Europe, parts of North Africa and the North Atlantic.
As a pilot with Svenskt Ambulanceflyg, we offer;
A socially important and meaningful mission for your fellow human beings
Base location Umeå, Stockholm-Arlanda, Gothenburg-Landvetter
Work during all hours of the day in all types of weather occurring in Sweden
Work that means you are sometimes faced with challenging and unexpected situations you have to deal with
A varied and dynamic working day where you are expected to help with all aspects of patient transport
You are part of a team with the patient and healthcare in focus
As a pilot, you are part of a crew consisting of two pilots and a specialist trained flight nurse in anesthesia or IVA. Some of the assignments are planned and carried out according to a daily program, other assignments are urgent and sometimes with special teams within the different areas of healthcare. All in all, this means that you work close to the patient but are not involved in the care on board.
The position may involve serving on a different base than the one you belong to, which means that travel in the position may occur.
As an applicant for the position, you have solid experience in commercial aviation and relevant experience from aviation operations. You must meet the requirements that the Swedish Transport Agency sets for a commercial pilot in Swedish liner shipping and be aware of your role in the management system and our continued flight safety work.
We are looking for you who is a positive and solution-oriented person who is both goal-oriented and motivated to, together with others, take responsibility for patient-safe transport and the development of KSA’s entire business.
As a pilot at KSA, you work together with others in your daily work and therefore need to have good communicative and pedagogical skills as well as an aptitude for planning and organizing your work.
