Luxaviation UK is seeking a qualified candidate to join its XL Fleet as a dedicated Captain. The successful candidate will report to the operation’s Lead Pilot and be part of a dedicated crew of three (Lead Pilot, Captain and First Officer) supporting a private operation. They will also work alongside a dedicated Chief Engineer who is based at the operation’s home base. The successful candidate must demonstrate integrity, respect and trust in the way they work, and operate with the discretion and flexibility required to support the operation’s needs.

 

The successful candidate must demonstrate the highest standards of flying skills, safety and situational awareness while seamlessly incorporating the skills of crew resource management, threat error management, and teamwork into the daily operation.

 

The successful candidate will be committed to continuing to learn and increase their knowledge at all times, fly using Luxaviation’s standard operating procedures and deliver the highest standards of customer service, with an open mindset and willingness to get involved in all areas of the operation to deliver success.

 

Applicants must have a right to work in the UK and preferably be based within 1-2 hours of Cheshire / Merseyside.

 

The recruitment process will involve at least three interviews and is likely to involve flight / sim testing.

 

Key Responsibilities

The Captain shall take all reasonable steps to:

Maintain familiarity with relevant rules and regulations and agreed aviation best practices and procedures.
Ensure that all operational procedures and checklists are complied with, in accordance with the Operations Manual.
When required deputise for the Lead Pilot for both flying and non-flying duties.
Provide exceptional customer service and support to all passengers before, during and after each flight, to the standards set out by the Lead Pilot and which will evolve over time.
Support the successful completion of non-flying tasks and duties as required to ensure that the operation as a while succeeds.
Produce documentation within reasonable time as and if requested by line management or the Authority; however, they shall direct it to the NP Flight Operations who shall pass it on to the relevant Authority.

 

Person Specification

Essential Qualifications

Hold a valid UK Commercial / Instrument License
Hold a valid UK Class 1 Medical
Desirable Qualifications

Hold a valid Citation XL Type Rating
Essential Experience

Minimum of 2500 hours total flight time
Minimum of 500 hours Jet/Turboprop time
Minimum 100 hours time on type
Essential Skills

English Proficiency Level 4 or above
Essential Competencies

Team Work
Leader and followership aptitude
Essential Knowledge

Sound knowledge of business Aviation Operations
Background in business jets
