DHC6 FIRST OFFICER
JOB DESCRIPTION:
One of Cornwall’s largest companies, the Isles of Scilly Steamship Group provides air and sea links for passengers and freight from the UK mainland to the Isles of Scilly. Due to continued growth and expansion of our Skybus airline, we’re now looking for two more DHC6 First Officers.
You will be based at either Lands End or Newquay Cornwall Airport. Rosters will change at short notice so living nearby is essential. Successful applicants will be trained at the company’s expense, and will receive a DHC6 type rating, subject to passing ground and flight examinations. There is currently no financial bond but you will be expected to work to the end of the contract.
Job Requirements
To apply for the post you must:
Hold a valid JAR ATPL or Part-FCL ATPL (full or frozen)
Hold a valid Class 1 Medical with at least 3 months validity
A CPL and Instrument Rating on a multi-engine aircraft without a glass cockpit, with at least 3 months validity
Be fluent in spoken and written English
Have the right to live and work in the UK
Have at least 300 hours flying experience as PIC, of which 50 hours must be air work (e.g. flying instruction, air taxi, parachute pilot etc.)
Be available to start work in January
Be able to supply references from all your employers for the last 5 years.

Hours of work: 9 month contract from winter 2015/16 to autumn 2016
Salary: £23,057 p.a. pro-rata for the period worked.
